Rickon Stark was the eldest son of Lord Cregan Stark. He was married to Jeyne Manderly, and had two daughters, Serena and Sansa Stark.

Rickon Stark was born in 128 AC, the eldest son of Lord Cregan Stark and Arra Norrey, who died giving birth to him. He was named after Cregan's father, Lord Rickon Stark. After the outbreak of the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon flew to Winterfell. There, a deal was struck, where Cregan would support the claim of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, provided that Jacaerys' firstborn daughter would be sent north at the age of seven, to be fostered at Winterfell, and, when she came of age, she would be wed to Rickon. However, Jacaerys died childless during the Battle of the Gullet.
In 132, after Rickon's father married Lady Alysanne Blackwood, Rickon sang a song for his stepmother at the feast that followed the wedding.
Rickon fought under King Daeron I Targaryen during his Conquest of Dorne, some of his achievements being noted in Daeron's The Conquest of Dorne. Rickon died during one of the final battles of the war, underneath the walls of Sunspear. His death was much lamented in The North, due to the troubles that came during the reign of his half-brothers.
