Qarkash is a port city on the Summer Sea. It is located approximately 300 miles due west of Qarth and just over 300 miles east of Port Yhos. Based on the name, it is assumed to be related to Qarth, possibly as a satellite town.

Qarkash is located on the Summer Sea, along the south coast of the Red Waste. As with Qarth, the Waste protects Qarkash from raids from the Dothraki to the north. Roads lead east to Qarth and north-west towards the nation of Lhazar. Qarkash is located roughly 100 miles north of the entrance to the Straits of Qarth. The city appears to be considerably smaller than Qarth.[1]
