Ser Osmund Kettleblack is a knight of House Kettleblack and a member of the Kingsguard under King Joffrey I Baratheon and his brother King Tommen I Baratheon. He has two brothers, Osfryd Kettleblack and Osney Kettleblack.

Osmund is a tall man, standing six feet and six inches, and has a muscled chest covered in black hair. He has a hooked nose, narrow cheeks and bushy eyebrows with a triangular beard. All is hair is black.

Ser Osmund is sent with Ser Boros Blount to bring the news of the death of Lord Tywin Lannister to Cersei Lannister. He accompanies her to the Tower of the Hand, where he is tasked to dispose the body of Shae, a whore found in Tywin's chambers. He then accompanies Ser Meryn Trant in escorting Cersei and Tommen to the wake of Lord Tywin.
Jaime questions him after discovering the deaths of the two turnkeys who fell asleep the night of Tyrion's escape, but he insists that he only killed them on Cersei's bidding. Jaime tells him to get his brothers and clean up the mess that they made.
