Queen Maris the Maid, also known as the Most Fair, was a daughter of Garth Greenhand, a legendary High King of the First Men.
History[]
Maris the Maid is an ancestor of House Hightower. She was famous for her beauty, so much so that fifty lords competed for her affection during the first tourney ever held in Westeros. Argoth Stone-Skin emerged victorious, but Maris married King Uthor of the High Tower. Argoth the Grey Giant supposedly went mad, and spent the rest of his life roaring for his bride outside the walls of Oldtown.
