A khalasar is a band of Dothraki people who follow a khal, or horse lord.
They range in size from dozens of people to thousands, and are typically followed by wild dogs. The primary khalasar of note is Khal Drogo's, a small faction of which eventually follows Daenerys Targaryen through the red waste to find a way to reclaim the Iron Throne of Westeros.
