House Chester of Greenshield is the deposed house formerly ruling over Greenshield, one of the Shield Islands of the Reach.
History[]
The Shield Islands are a considerable naval power and were the first line of defense during the days when the ironborn pirates tried to sail up the Mander to sack the wealth of the Reach.
In 89 AC, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen approved of his granddaughter's, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, choice to marry Lord Corlys Velaryon while being the host of Lord Chester in Greenshield.

Lord Moribald Chester is slain during the attack of the ironborn lead by Euron Greyjoy. After the Battle of the Shield Islands, Euron gives Greenshield to Maron Volmark, a young boy of six-and-ten years.
