House Ball is a noble house from The Reach. They emblazon their sigil with three white plates upon a chevron red on a white field.
History[]
House Ball was, according to legend, founded by the son of Florys the Fox and one of her secret lovers. The same story is told of House Florent and House Peake.
Ser Quentyn Ball would serve as Master-of-Arms for the Red Keep under the reign of King Aegon IV Targaryen. Aegon promised to name Quentyn to the Kingsguard, but died before he could fulfill the promise. Aegon's son and heir, King Daeron II Targaryen, would pass Quentyn over when a space did become available. Quentyn chose to fight for Daemon I Blackfyre during the First Blackfyre Rebellion as a result of this.
Quentyn fought outside of Lannisport, where he would kill a Lord of House Lefford and defeat Lord Damon Lannister. It was Quentyn that rescued Daemon when Daeron sent the knights of the Kingsguard after him. Quentyn slew all the sons of Lady Penrose, save for the youngest, whom he spared out of respect for his mother. Quentyn was killed on the eve of the Battle of Redgrass Field.
