Lord Gorold Goodbrother is the head of House Goodbrother and Lord of the Hammerhorn, a castle located on Great Wyk.

Gorold dispatches one of his sons, Gormond Goodbrother, to inform Aeron Greyjoy, a priest of the Drowned God, of the death of King Balon Greyjoy. Aeron rides to Hammerhorn, where Gorold informs him that Euron Greyjoy now sists upon the Seastone Chair.
Gorold initially supports Victarion Greyjoy at the Kingsmoot. He is, however, seen shouting the name of Euron by Aeron. Victarion later spots him talking with Lords Dunstan Drumm and Rodrik Harlaw after the Taking of the Shields.
