Books[]
A Game of Thrones[]
Eddard Stark tasks his wife, Catelyn Stark, with fortifying Moat Cailin with one hundred bowmen from Galbart Glover and Ser Helman Tallhart, after Catelyn shows him the Valyrian steel dagger.
Galbart answers the call when Robb Stark calls his banners to Winterfell. He is later part of the war council at Moat Cailin, where he advises Robb against trusting Walder Frey. He accompanies Robb into the Riverlands, participating in the Battle of the Whispering Wood and the Battle of the Camps. Whilst at Riverrun, he prays in the Godswood. He is later present when Robb is declared the King in the North.
A Clash of Kings[]
Deepwood Motte is taken by Asha Greyjoy after Balon Greyjoy enters the War of the Five Kings. The children of Galbart's brother, Robett Glover, are taken prisoner in the attack. After the Battle of Oxcross Galbart raids up and down the coast of the Westerlands.
A Storm of Swords[]
Galbart returns to Riverrun with Robb, where he finds out that Robett has been taken prisoner near Duskendale. He fears for his brother's life, but Robb agrees an exchange of prisoners; Robett for Martyn Lannister.
Galbart is named commander of Robb's scouts and outriders on their journey to Edmure Tully's wedding at the Twins, after Ser Brynden Tully is left behind to hold Riverrun. After the Blue Fork floods, Galbart is rescued from some rocks near Ramsford.
As part of his plan to retake Moat Cailin, Robb sends Galbart and Maege Mormont with Lord Jason Mallister to Seagard, with the instruction that they are to sail into the Neck and find Greywater Watch, so that the Crannogmen can direct the Northern armies around the castle to take it from the North. Robb is killed at the Red Wedding, however, and Galbart and Maege's locations are now unknown.
