Fire & Blood is a complete history of House Targaryen written by George R. R. Martin. Although originally planned for publication after the completion of A Song of Ice and Fire, Martin revealed his intent to publish the history in two volumes after the material had grown too large. The first volume, named Fire & Blood, was released on November 20th, 2018. Before being titled Fire & Blood, the history was jokingly named the GRRMarillion after J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion.
