Ser Erryk Cargyll was an anointed knight of House Cargyll who served as a sworn brother of the Kingsguard during the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen. He was the twin brother of Ser Arryk Cargyll.

Ser Erryk and Ser Arryk were both unhorsed by Ser Criston Cole in the tourney at Maidenpool in 105 AC.
In 120 AC, King Viserys made Ser Erryk the sworn shield of his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. He replaced Ser Harwin Strong, who had been alleged to have maintained a sexual relationship with the Princess.
After the death of King Viserys, Ser Erryk joined Ser Steffon Darklyn and Ser Lorent Marbrand in declaring for Princess Rhaenyra and joining her Queensguard. His brother Arryk, however, sided with her brother and rival, Aegon II Targaryen.
Ser Criston, by now the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, commanded Ser Arryk to infiltrate Dragonstone by pretending to be his brother. The two siblings came upon each other in a corridor of the island fortress, and came to blows. Songs say that they fought for an hour, and professed their love for one another as they died in each other's arms. Mushroom says that they each called the other a traitor, and that both were mortally wounded within moments.
