Edyth was a septa of the Faith of the Seven, who was a religious tutor to Queen Alysanne Targaryen.
History[]
Edyth was born in 36 AC, to a noble family.
In 50 AC, Queen Alyssa Velaryon sent three women to oversee the religious education of Queen Alysanne; Septa Ysabel, and the novices Edyth and Lyra, as well as the famously pious Lady Lucinda Tully. It was the hope of Alyssa that the righteous women would convince the queen that brother lying with sister was an abomination. Instead, they were moved by the queen's devotion to her brother-husband.
By 51 AC, she had taken the vows of a septa, and attended Queen Alysanne when she visited Jonquil's Pool in Maidenpool. There, she was slashed across the face trying to protect the queen from three septas who attacked her with knives.
After Queen Rhaena Targaryen's beloved Septa Maryam was murdered by Androw Farman in 54 AC, Edyth was sent to Dragonstone to take her place.
In 55 AC, she accompanied Queen Alysanne whilst she was pregnant.
Septa Edyth died of the Shivers in 59 or 60 AC.
