Ser Daven Lannister is a knight of House Lannister, and Warden of the West. He is the son of Ser Stafford Lannister and Myranda Lefford.
Appearance and Character[]
Ser Daven's eyes are hazel. He has a short nose with an upturned tip, and a large chin. Daven has long, golden hair and a thick mustache, and a beard.

A Game of Thrones[]
At the start of the War of the Five Kings, Daven requested to lead the foraging for the Lannister host. However, Tywin Lannister declined, as he believes that it is a lowly task for a Lannister. Instead, he sends Ser Gregor Clegane and Vargo Hoat to lead the foraging.
A Clash of Kings[]
After the death of Daven's father, Ser Stafford Lannister, at the Battle of Oxcross, Ser Daven vows to never cut his hair until his father is avenged. He aims to kill Lord Rickard Karstark, the one who slew Ser Stafford.
A Storm of Swords[]
Ser Daven gathers the Lannister army to prepare for a second invasion of the Riverlands.
Rickard Karstark is executed by Robb Stark, the King in the North, for treason. Despite this, Daven keeps his hair growing.
After the Red Wedding, Daven and Ser Forley Prester prepare to meet up at the Golden Tooth, and thereafter meet up with Ser Ryman Frey to besiege Riverrun, the ancestral home of House Tully.
A Feast for Crows[]
Daven is named Warden of the West by Queen Cersei. He rides to lay siege to Riverrun, which is currently held by Ser Brynden Tully, the Blackfish. He wants to storm the castle, but his commanders think otherwise.
After a long while, Ser Jaime Lannister takes command of the siege, and Daven is pleased to let go of his task. Jaime notes that Daven looks like a lion with all his hair, and Daven says that it keeps his face warm in the night. Soon after, Jaime successfully makes Lord Edmure Tully surrender Riverrun to the Lannisters and Freys.
