Danny was raped and murdered at the Nightfort. She is remembered for being brave and young. "Brave Danny Flint" is a sad and pretty song that was written about her. Some versions of the song tell that her ghost still walks the ruins of the Nightfort.

As three thousand wildlings pass the Wall at Castle Black, Jon Snow notes that two of the boy hostages are girls in disguise. Jon asks Tormund Giantsbane if Mance Rayder ever sung a song about Danny Flint. Tormund says that he doesn't think so and asks who she was. Jon tells him about Danny, saying that her song is sad and pretty, but that her fate was not.
