The Crag is the seat of House Westerling in the Westerlands.
Location[]
The Crag is located along the coast of the Sunset Sea, to the south of Banefort, north-west of Ashemark and north-east of Fair Isle. It is more a ruin than a castle, as the Westerlings lack the funds to maintain it.

A Clash of Kings[]
During the War of the Five Kings, King Robb Stark and his army march on the Crag. News is later brought to Riverrun that he has taken the castle.
A Storm of Swords[]
The Crag is stormed, with Smalljon Umber and Black Walder Frey scaling the walls, whilst Robb broke through the gate. He was wounded in the battle, and cared for by Jeyne Westerling. Robb then took her maidenhead, and, out of honour, married her. This brough the Westerlings and Spicers over to Robb, but cost him the forces of House Frey.
