Prelude[]
The King in the North, Robb Stark and his loyal vassals with almost all their forces were fighting against the Lannister forces in the Riverlands and the Westerlands, which eventually left the North without sufficient protection.
Balon Greyjoy declared himself King of the Isles and the North and took advantage of the unprotected North to claim the North by right of conquest. Theon Greyjoy and some Ironborn took Winterfell and proclaims himself Prince of Winterfell, taking Bran and Rickon Stark as prisoners.
Rodrik Cassel raises an army of almost 2,000 men to take Winterfell and his daughter Beth Cassel back.
The Battle[]
Rodrik Cassel
besiege Winterfell and tries to make the Ironborn surrender the castle, but Theon Greyjoy refuses.
600 Bolton soldiers arrived as allies so Ser Rodrik welcome them but the lider of the Bolton army betrays Cassel and killed him, the Bolton lider was Ramsay Snow wich was supposedly dead for crimes he comited, the remaining Stark and vassals soldiers fled the battle in chaos.
