Appearance and Character
Arianne is described to be young (in her early twenties when she appears in the books) and to be physically gorgeous in a number of ways. She has olive skin typical of her house, big dark eyes and long, thick black hair that falls in ringlets to the middle of her back.
Arianne is extremely feisty and flirtatious on the outside, easily seducing Arys Oakheart and initiating a dominantly physical relationship with him. Even in her relationship, Arianne proves herself to be far more complicated than one would think: she is surprisingly intelligent and very manipulative, as evidenced by how she manages to control him using her words and her body. However, there are deeper meanings and complexities to her attitude: she is envious and angry at what she believes to be her father's distrust and disgust of her, and is motivated by the news that her younger brothers Quentyn and Trystane will succeed her, even though Dornish law cites Arianne as the rightful heir to Princedom of Dorne.
She is very protective over those she loves, but dangerous to those whom she views as enemies. When confronted with her actions, Arianne is fierce and angry, but once she learns her father's true purposes she begins to understand his treatment of her and becomes an invaluable asset alongside him in bringing the Targaryen dynasty back to Westeros and avenging the slaughter of her family by Tywin Lannister and his kind.
