Prince Aegon Targaryen was the firstborn child of King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne Targaryen.

Whilst pregnant with Aegon, Alysanne visited Maidenpool, where she wished to bathe in the healing waters of Jonquil's Pool. In the poolhouse, she was attacked by three Septas, but was saved by members of the Kingsguard.
Aegon was born early, and died three days afterwards. Alysanne claimed that had she been allowed to bathe in the pool then Aegon would have lived.
