A Game of Thrones - Review
Hello, I'm here to review the first book of A Song of Ice and Fire, called A Game of Thrones.
I'm writing this also btw to get wiki points :D
I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one week in the vacation of October/November. The story and plot was good, the characters were interesting (Apart from Daenerys), so I think I can start with talking about the summuary of the book. (I watched the show in July. I'm currently at the third book, A Storm of Swords)
It's very interesting to read the books with the exciting story and characters.
First, we are introduced to the book with Will seeing the White Walkers, an awesome beginning. Then we see the Starks of Winterfell and the Baratheons of King's Landing. We see how the world of Westeros works, a…
Stylebook
Hi all, I have a small proposal and I need to give me your opinion.
I would like to create an article, for people to be guided when creating or editing an article. Thus all items follow a style.
P.S: Please, if you read this give me your opinion.
Wikia is looking for fans at SDCC
Hey Wikia Superfans! Are you going to San Diego Comic-Con this year? Wikia is going to have a big presence at the convention this year, and we want as many Wikia users involved as possible. Last year I got to be part of the Wikia Fan Express and we got all sorts of perks like sneak peaks and access to products that hadn't been released to the public yet. That's not even counting the awesome swag (like a pirate, not a trendy youth) and cool prizes!
I know there's going to be a big Game of Thrones presence at the con this year, so we're hoping to see you fans turning out. Wikia is giving out collectibles, VIP perks, and party tickets to Wikia users who show up this year. It's going to be sweet. You will also get access to our massive scavenge…
Adopting the Song of Ice and Fire Wiki
Howdy, I'm GhostWolf716. Some of you might know me from The Walking Dead Wiki, where I serve as an administrator. I recently put up an adoption request for this wiki which you can see here
Now obviously this wiki is pretty inactive. The last edit made from an admin was August 25, 2014. So someone whether it be more or an other needs to adopt this place and hopefully make it better. This is an open discussion on who should adopt the wiki as there are a few contributing users.
Thank you all for your time.
Game of Thrones at E3 2014
Greetings A Song of Ice and Fire Community,
Wikia is excited to announce our E3 2014 coverage. All week long, Wikia and several Wikia Stars will be representing you the fans at the most exciting video game show in the world. We want to include you every step of the way, starting with bringing your fan questions to the show along with us. What are you excited to see most at E3? If we get a chance to speak to the developers and publishers of your favorite games, what do you want us to ask them? We can't promise we will be able to ask all of your questions, but we will do our best to get you heard by the creators themselves. Let us know your questions in the comments below and be sure to let us know what you want to see most at this year's E3. …
Theory about the Prince who was promised
I'm new to this wiki so I don't know if this has been proposed before but here goes
Ok so we know a few things about this prince that was promised:
1) He/she will come from the line of Aerys II and Rhaella
2) He will fight the great Other
3) Is probably known as Azor Ahai in the East
4) Somehow related to the red comet
My theory is that Jon Snow is actually the promised prince.
He is actually the son of Rhaegar Targaeryen and Lyanna Stark. The promise Lyanna forced Eddard to keep was to raise him as Eddard's son as she knew he would be in danger if his true parentage came out.
If Aegon VI was born under the red comet just a few days before the Sack of Kings Landing then it stands to reason that Jon was too.
It also explains why Melisandre keeps see…
Read a Paragraph of The Winds of Winter
WHEN IS The Winds of Winter COMING OUT?! Every fan of A Song of Ice and Fire has this question in their minds, but could things be coming sooner rather than later? Entertainment Weekly released a first look at Martin's long awaited novel, and, while it's just a paragraph, at least it's something!
TYRION
Somewhere off in the far distance, a dying man was screaming for his mother. “To horse!” a man was yelling in Ghiscari, in the next camp to the north of the Second Sons. “To horse! To horse!” High and shrill, his voice carried a long way in the morning air, far beyond his own encampment. Tyrion knew just enough Ghiscari to understand the words, but the fear in his voice would have been plain in any tongue. I know how he feels.
EW also reports that R…
Theory of the Horn of Joramun
So I am just about done with A Dance With Dragons, and I have a question. Whenever Jon treats with Tormund Giantsbane, Jon says that the Horn of Winter was burned, Tormund responds that they never really found the real horn. So I'm going out on a limb here, but: could Euron Greyjoy's "Dragonbinder" be the real Horn of Joramun? I know that Dragonbinder has Valyrian glyphs and the Horn of Joramun was made by the First Men, but could it still be possible?
Vote in Wikia's Epic Dragon Battle
Calling all dragon fans! Throughout the centuries, in lands far away and forgotten, mankind has battled dragons. Now, from Middle-earth, the Wizarding World, the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and many other realms, the great creatures have gathered to fight one another in an epic battle!
As these dragons battle it out, YOU can decide which dragon will reign supreme in Wikia's Epic Dragon Battle! Click here to vote for the dragons you'd like to see move on to the next round, and keep checking back to discover if your chosen dragon has advanced!
Theory on third head of the dragon
My theory on the third head of the dragon of the Song of Ice and Fire is that it could possibly have been Joffrey Baratheon. Cersei was infatuated with Rhaegar, she even said he was the most beautiful man in the world. Did anything ever happen with that? There is usually a crazy bad seed in the line. Aerys, the mad king, etc. and now Joffrey. It makes sense to me, what do you think?
I think Jon is the second head, as being the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar that Ned disguised as being a bastard. She died of unknown reasons, which was probably child birth, her last words were, "Promise me, Ned." I believe this could mean that Ned needs to conceal his true identity to keep him safe. Jon Snow is the "Prince that was promised." A Song of Ice and Fir…
Stone Crows
Question about Stone Crows....
So before the battle of Blackwater Bay, Tyrion sends the Stone Crows back to their lands? Am I correct?
Also does anyone know about the background of how Ramsay (Reek) gains Theon's trust in the first place after Theon takes Winterfell?
Ramsay Snow Question
I am reading the second book. I am on chapter 46.
I have a question of Ramsay Snow. I am a bit confused as to what happened. He supposedly poisoned Roose's legitimate heir while Roose was fighting in the War and has a death warrant of some sorts issued by Ser Rodrick Cassell at this point in the second book? I may be confused about this whole story. Who was Roose's heir supposed to be and why would Ramsay want her dead? I remember Bran being told of this, I am just confused as to the whole beginning of this story I believe. Anyone wish to summarize and clarify for me?
Wikia's Westeros Feast
Anyone who is a fan of the epic Song of Ice and Fire book series can attest that food plays a VERY prominent role. The myriad of dishes and various ales and wine could actually each be their own characters considering the amount of page time George R.R. Martin dedicates to them! With this in mind, and to also commemorate the recent premiere of the Game of Thrones' series 3rd season on HBO, we've picked the Ice and Fire WIki to host a Food Fiction contest to design the perfect Westeros Feast!
With your help, we created a menu worthy of the Iron Throne, and then the Wikia Staff team created the feast in real life! Through sweat, blood, and tears, we replicated Sansa Salad, Honeyed Chicken, Dornish Stuffed Green Peppers, The Old Bear's Hot Spice…

It's Time To Play
Wikia is rolling out a fun new initiative for the holiday season called “Time to Play” where we ask our wikis what page they’re most proud of. We want to know which page you would want to have represent .
There will be an official blog going out on Nov. 1 but we wanted to reach out to you early and see if you were interested in participating now.
If you wanted to participate, a “Time to Play” badge would go up on the right rail of the mainpage that links users to the page that you choose, while the footer will live on that same page that links to hub pages eg. http://www.wikia.com/Entertainment for Time to Play goodies. You can see how the badge looks by clicking here and how the footer will appear by clicking here.
We will feature on http:/…
The New Game of Thrones Game
Hello all! I just recently made the Game of Thrones page for the upcoming video game being released. The question I have is this: Do we want the information regarding the new game to go here, the Game of Thrones wiki, or it's own wiki?
Westeros Fan Fiction Wiki
I'm using this blog to promote a new fan fiction site as the founder and admin of a song of ice and fire wiki have not been online on this wiki since the end of last year. So I am using this to tell anyone who wishes to join about "Westeros Fan Fiction Wiki" which is a new wiki site allows people to write about anything fiction that can or could happen in George R R Martin's world of Westeros.
I have included codes and diagrams from a wiki of ice and fire which helps develop the ite better and added a couple of recommended sites to help progress through the site.
[the wiki through this link]
thank you for reading (especially thank you if you join the wiki.
